It was founded in 1948 by the Congregation of Holy Cross and is located on the original estate of Frederick Lothrop. Founded in 1847 by German immigrants, Stone Hill Winery found international acclaim, with our Norton declared “Best Wine of All Nations.” Cut down in our prime with Prohibition, the winery sat dormant.
